Family Promise of Gainesville

This agency unites the efforts of all faiths to shelter and feed homeless families. Families are housed at area houses of worship. Members provide meals and shelter to guest families. They can use laundry facilities, meet with a social worker and more. They stay with each congregation for about two weeks before moving on to another. Children attend their regular schools.

NACo - National Association of Counties

Start saving money on your prescriptions! It’s easy to use. Simply print a card and present your discount card at a participating retail pharmacy along with your prescriptions. You can save an average of 24 percent on your prescription drugs. There are no limits on how many times the card can be used. You can use it for the whole family. You can even use the card for your pets. If your pet is prescribed a medication that is also used for humans, ask your veterinarian for a prescription to use at a participating pharmacy. GCM - Vision Clinic

The Optometry Team provides vision screening and exams and donated eye glasses to those in need.
Exams will be conducted every 3 months. A donation of $5 to cover cost of eyeglasses is suggested. Please call for more information.

GCM - Utility Assistance

GCM provides help to those who have fallen on hard times and have gotten behind in their utility bills. Due to limited funding they can only offer this service to a client one time. You must call on Mondays only and make an appointment. On message machine leave your Name, Phone Number, and Last Four Digits of SS#. Please see the website for more information.
