Healthy Start Program - Suwannee County Health Department

This program is for pregnant women and new mothers. All services are free. It is for any pregnant woman or baby from birth to age 3. The goal is to ensure a healthy birth for each baby and early health screenings for both mother and baby. Community agencies may refer clients. Women may also apply by themselves. Immunizations - Suwannee County Health Department

The health department offers free vaccinations (shots) to all children from 6 weeks through 18 years of age. Adults can also get vaccinations. Fees for adults vary. Please call for prices. No appointment is necessary. Please see the website for times.

The Gloria M. Silverio Foundation

This agency provides a safety net for women with unexpected pregnancies. The goal is to make sure that no baby is abandoned. Mothers with newborns can get advice about adoption or parenting and make plans for their baby's future before they reach a crisis stage. They can get help as they decide what is best for themselves and their babies. Please see the website for more information.
