Veteran's Bus - Citrus County Transit

Veterans can use CCT's transit services to go to the Veterans Hospital in Gainesville. This service is offered on the 1st Wednesday and 3rd Thursday of each month. Services are free unless otherwise stated. Please see the website for more information. Reservations are required no later than 12 noon two business days in advance. All reservations must be made with the Citrus County Transit Office. Wheelchair services are available. Please make these reservations as soon as possible due to limited seating. Good Shepherd Lutheran Church

This church has a number of ministries for its members and others. The Social Ministry Committee supports Citrus United Basket. They provide rides to members who can no longer drive themselves. They supply home health equipment. A quilting group makes quilts to donate to those in need. The SOS Food Bank is available to all on Thursdays. Please see the website for more information.

The Gloria M. Silverio Foundation

This agency provides a safety net for women with unexpected pregnancies. The goal is to make sure that no baby is abandoned. Mothers with newborns can get advice about adoption or parenting and make plans for their baby's future before they reach a crisis stage. They can get help as they decide what is best for themselves and their babies. Please see the website for more information.
