Early Steps

Children’s Home Society of Florida offers the Early Steps program. This program empowers families with children who have developmental delays. Services are available for children ages 0 to 3. They help navigate the challenges, celebrate milestones, and help children reach their full potential. Specialists work with the parents to build on their strengths. Narcotics Anonymous Florida

NA is a nonprofit fellowship of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. They meet regularly to help each other stay clean. The Healthy Families Florida program is overseen by Ounce of Prevention Fund of Florida. It is a family support and coaching program. The program is open to expectant parents and to parents of newborns going through stressful life situations. Parents are helped through education and community support so that they can provide a safe and stable environment for their children. Services take place in the home and are entirely voluntary. Talking Books

Talking Books are books and magazines recorded for people who need to hear resources read to them. It is for people with a visual disability or a physical disability. Talking Books are played on special players provided free by the Library.

  • Talking Books service is free for the user, including free delivery and return of machines and materials through the mail.
