Osceola Christian Ministry Center helps with Clothes & Showers. They have a variety of adult clothing so that clients can get clothes for work or interviews as well as for daily use. Each client is provided a fresh towel and washcloth as well as soap, toothbrush and razor. Call for more information.

Osceola Christian Ministry Center helps with hunger. They offer a hot meal each weekday. They also have a Food Pantry that gives groceries to hungry families. Call for more information.

Kissimmee Christian Church provides Community Outreach. Each Sunday morning at 8:30 AM, they provide a delicious meal. Call for more information.

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program helps low-income households with financial assistance to pay heating and cooling bills.

There are three categories of LIHEAP assistance:

• Crisis Assistance – Helps eligible households in immediate danger of losing or has lost access to home energy.
• Home Energy Assistance – Helps eligible households in meeting the cost of home energy. An emergency or crisis is not eligible for this category of assistance. If you have received home energy assistance in the last 12 months, you are not eligible.
• Weather Related Assistance – This is utilized upon declaration or order by the Department of Community Affairs, Governor or President that a crisis or emergency exists due to weather related conditions.

Eligibility:

• Criteria for vulnerable population: 60 years of age or older, Disabled, Families with children age 5 years old and under

Osceola Council on Aging provides Transportation. They have a bus service that takes elderly and disabled adults to and from community resources. This may include senior dining, shopping, medical appointments, and recreation. Call for more information.
