Lake Worth CRA

The Lake Worth Community Redevelopment Agency is governed by a seven (7) member Board of Commissioners which is appointed by the City of Lake Worth Commission. Their role is to direct CRA activities within the Community Redevelopment Area in accordance with the approved Lake Worth Redevelopment Plan. Revenue is generated for CRA projects through Tax Increment Financing (TIF)

Rapid Re-Housing Program

This program assists persons experiencing homelessness to be quickly stabilized and re-housed in permanent housing. Priority is given to households residing in emergency shelters and transitional housing.

A key goal of Rapid Re-Housing is to shorten the family's length of stay in a shelter.

Adopt-a-Family of the Palm Beaches

Adopt-A-Family is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit, charitable organization established in 1983. They are dedicated to restoring families in crisis to stability and self-sufficiency by providing access to all-encompassing services to families and their children.

Serving Palm Beach County families meeting the following criteria:

  • Families in crisis, putting them at risk of homelessness
  • Homeless with children
  • Income-challenged, working families at risk of becoming homeless or in search of affordable housing in Palm Beach County

MorseLife - Long Term Care

The Morse Geriatric Center is a long-term care facility designed and dedicated to serving the elderly in Palm Beach County. It is also a teaching facility.

The center includes medical experts including:

  • A Board-certified Medical Director
  • Certified Nursing Assistants
  • Physical, occupational and speech-language therapists
  • Registered and licensed practical nurses
  • Social Workers
  • Therapeutic recreation professionals
