St. Peter's Episcopal Church and School

In union with 18 area churches, St. Peter's serves meals Wednesday evenings from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at the Sanford Civic Center. Each church takes a turn preparing and serving the meals.

St. Peter's also serves a hot breakfast Saturday mornings from 8:00am to 9am at the 1st Presbyterian Church at 4th and Park in Sanford.

St. Peter's volunteers provide free laundry service Wednesday mornings at the Laundromat & Cleaners in the Winn-Dixie Plaza.

The church also gives away bikes to the needy as they become available.

Vocational Training for Developmentally Disabled Adults - Inspire of Central Florida

Inspire provides employment opportunities and life skills training for adults with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries in Central Florida. This service is for adults who have completed their formal education and want to develop the skills needed to live, work and function in the community as independently as possible.

Oasis- The Christian Sharing Center

At the Oasis, there are computers for kids to do schoolwork and adults to do job searches. Here they will be able to get haircuts and be connected with many other services and resources for basic needs, such as food, clothing, shoes, medical care, job openings and counseling.
Individuals may take a shower and wash clothes as service coordinators help them get back to independence.

Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 9am-1pm.

Youth Fare Program - LYNX

LYNX provides the Youth Fare Program. Children under the age of 6 may ride free when accompanied by an adult. If they are riding alone, they may ride for $1. Those who are between ages 7 to 9 can get a Youth Pass without a Youth ID. Those who are between ages 10 to 18 or still in high school must show Youth ID.
