Substance Abuse Men's Transitional Housing - Recovery House of Central Florida

Recovery House is a non-medical, faith-based organization. It has transitional housing and recovery support for men with substance abuse issues. It uses a 12-step program. Men can get addiction education, job skills and training. Family support is strongly encouraged. The focus is to reunite men with their families and give them job skills.

You must call 407.323.5857 for an interview. No walk-ins will be accepted. In many cases, the client can be accepted the same day of approval.

Recovery House of Central Florida

RHCF is a non-medical program. It provides transitional housing and recovery support to men with substance abuse issues. The program requires a one-year commitment. Qualified applicants must have no medical conditions that prevent them from working. They can have no past or present sexual or violent offenses. They cannot be currently taking prescription drugs that are narcotic or given intravenously. Upon approval the applicant can be admitted the same day in many cases. Clients will get help finding a job or getting job skills. They will get addiction education and learn life skills.

Transportation Service for Seniors - Meals on Wheels

This agency provides transportation to seniors. They can get rides to neighborhood dining and shopping (as available) to maintain healthy and active lives. Those over the age of 60 can sign up for Meals on Wheels. Please call the office to schedule at 407.333.8877. These services are available Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 2:30pm and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Meals on Wheels, Etc. provides appetizing and nutritious meals for seniors. They also have services which enable them to maintain their independence and dignity. Please see the website for more information.

United Cerebral Palsy of Central Florida Service

This agency has been helping children succeed for more than 50 years. They provide a SET (support, education, and therapy) of services to everyone touched by a disability. Their unique programs offer families "one-stop-shopping". They serve children from birth to age 21.

Housing Assistance - Seminole County Government

This agency gives housing help to residents. Check the Seminole County Community Services Website for updates and application forms.

Short term aid is available to clients for rent, mortgage, and utilities. A household must have a financial hardship.

State funds through the Florida Housing Finance Corporation are given to help very low, low, and moderate income homeowners and renters. S.H.I.P funds give purchase help for future homeowners.

This program provides rental help for people to have decent, safe and clean housing.

People applying for financial help can attend an info session on Mondays or Wednesdays.

They do business in accordance with the Federal Fair Housing Law.

Community Services Department - Seminole County Government

This agency helps the people of Seminole County by providing stability within their areas. They work with other local agencies to give aid. You can get help with housing, dental, burial, and utilities. You can also get help with assisted living, transportation and other basic needs. Veterans' services are available through the Veterans' Services Office.
