The Administration for Community Living or ACL for short. The group believes that services should be strong enough so individuals can be supported in their own home. Or other community-based settings. The group does not help people directly but has several programs to help connect them with services that do. These programs help older adults and people with disabilities. Helps them find supports and services that are needed to successfully live in their communities. Please call or visit the website for more information.
The Administration for Community Living was created around an idea. The idea that older adults and people of all ages with disabilities should be able to live. Live where they choose. Live with the people they choose. And live with the ability to participate fully in their communities. The group advocates across the federal government for older adults and people with disabilities. They also advocate for their families and caregivers. ACL helps by funding services and support given mainly by networks of community-based organizations. Help is also given with investments in research.
