This housing authority strives to help residents with their housing needs. They have several programs to help low and moderate income families. They have housing options for seniors and the disabled. Food Pantry - BEAM

The food pantry serves residents in the Beaches area. Families are asked to schedule appointments for food pick-up. They may come once every 30 days if they need food.

Services are for residents of these Beaches Zip Codes: 32082, 32224, 32233, 32250, 32266

BEAM

BEAM partners with DCF to help families apply for SNAP (Food Stamps) and Medicaid. No appointment is needed. Beaches Energy Service (BES) partners with BEAM so that BEAM can help qualified BES customers who need assistance with their BES bill. BEAM administers all the funds available through BES’s “CARE” program. No appointment is needed for this service. BEAM's trained volunteers offer free income tax preparation to families during tax season. Appointments are needed. BEAM also has a food pantry. Families are asked to make appointments for food pick-up. They may come once every 30 days if they need food. BEAM also has financial help for rent and utilities for qualified residents. This service is available every 18 months, and an appointment is required. Thanksgiving dinner baskets help families who sign up for food to prepare a bountiful Thanksgiving dinner.

RealSense - Financial Well Being - United Way of Northeast Florida

This center can help clients learn to be more fiscally responsible and self sufficient. The certified counselors will help you assess your financial health, set personal goals and develop a plan to achieve these goals. You can learn about debt management, buying a home and how to prevent foreclosure. You can also learn about free tax preparation. Please see the website for more information.
