Lutheran Services Florida - Ryan White II AIDS Program

Lutheran Services Florida provides the Ryan White Title II AIDS Program. This program is for people living with AIDS. The goal is to improve the quality and availability of health care and support services for people living the HIV disease.

The LSF Ryan White Title II Program provided qualified individuals with referrals to healthcare professionals and other services including:

  • Emergency Assistance
  • Housing Assistance
  • Medical Care
  • Mental Health Assessment and Treatment
  • Nutrition Counseling
  • Transportation Assistance

Opportunity, Inc. Okaloosa Walton Homeless Continuum of Care - Personal Hygiene

Opportunity, Inc. sponsors laundry programs in Crestview and Fort Walton Beach. Clients will be able to wash a single load of clothes. Several organizations offer showers. There is a shower program in Destin open 24/7. Two to three times a year, the Mental Health Association of Okalossa and Walton Counties provides personal care bags.

Shelter House - Emergency Shelter

The Emergency Shelter provides safe and confidential shelter. Shelter is given to all female victims of domestic violence and their children. The facility is staffed 24 hours per day, 365 days a year. They can house up to twenty-four (24) residents. Residents are given immediate needs such as food and hygiene products. They are also assigned an advocate who can assess all other needs and give services. Some of these services may be peer counseling, referrals, legal advocacy and safety planning.

The average length of stay is eight (8) weeks. Upon leaving the shelter, residents are encouraged to continue using services through one of the outreach offices.
