Pinellas Hope II has 80 small one-bedroom homes for adults who used to be homeless. These homes are for people with low income. Some of the homes are set aside for people who make very little money—less than one-third of the average income in Pinellas County. The program helps men and women with special needs. Provider

Pinellas Hope provides shelter to over 250 homeless men and women. Background checks are done on all residents. Case managers meet with them on a regular basis to set goals towards self sufficiency. They also help residents with job and housing placement. Residents receive follow-up visits six months after they leave the shelter. Please see the website for more information.

Pinellas Hope has a wealth of resources for those who want to work on their future:

Adult Education including GED classes, career pathway education, remedial education to obtain and retain employment.
Pinellas County Schools (Dixie Hollins) certified adult education instructors on-site six days each week.
Computer lab and computer skills training for job searching, emailing and employment-related internet access.
Resume writing and interviewing skills classes.
Personal finance/budget classes.
Bible study classes two nights each week.
AA 12-Step Recovery meetings on site each evening, seven days per week.
Referral to alcohol/substance abuse assessment and treatment programs as necessary.
Pinellas County Health Mobile Medical Unit visits once or twice each week as needed.
Dental services and Eye exams
Visiting Nurse available one day each week.
Liaison with area agencies to provide mental health services as needed.
Referrals to Legal services (Gulf Coast Legal Services)
Referrals to Vocational Rehabilitation as appropriate.
Referrals to various programs and assisted living facilities as appropriate to address client needs.
Outreach to homeless veterans and referrals to targeted case management for housing and other needs.
Homemaker services to assist with furniture, household item needs of clients who transition to alternative housing opportunities.
