Daystar Life Center - St. Petersburg

The Center's purpose is to provide emergency help to those in need. Most are living below the federal poverty level. Clients can get help with food and clothing. They can apply for Food Stamps benefits. The homeless can use Daystar as a mailing address and also for email. Daystar has grown into a major social service agency since 1982. MADD

MADD offers support to those who have been affected by another person's drunk driving. They advocate for victims' rights and compensation. They fight for stricter underage drinking laws. They sponsor Walk Like MADD walks to raise funds. Please call or visit the website for more information.

Florida WIC Program

This program is called WIC for short. It is for pregnant women and children up to five years old. WIC provides the following at no cost: healthy foods, nutrition education and counseling, breastfeeding support and referrals for health care. Each eligible family gets an EBT card to use at the grocery store. They also get a list of foods to purchase at the lowest prices.
