This is an organization of lay Catholic men and women. Their mission is to grow spiritually by helping those in need. Their mission is to ease suffering. Children from working families with low to moderate incomes, or families with certain risk factors, may get scholarships to attend an early learning program. To qualify, the parents' income must be less than 150% of the federal poverty level. Children from birth to 13 years old can get a scholarship. The Benevolent Ministry provides a food pantry for those in need. Families who qualify can receive a generous food allotment up to 3 times per year. The food pantry is found at the West Hall. Please call for more information.
This church offers services to those in need. They have a food pantry that provides food to more than 2,400 per year. They can help with rent and utilities on a limited basis. Daystar Life Center provides internet access and a phone for people to use. They also let clients use their address to safely receive mail. This is helpful for people who are homeless, staying in temporary housing, or worried about their mail being stolen. Call 727.825.0442 for more information.
Daystar Life Center provides bus passes and gas vouchers to those in need. They also offer bike locks to clients when a bicycle is their only means of transit. Daystar is the only official Travelers Aid site in Pinellas County. Please see the website for more information.
Daystar Life Center can help people get their birth certificate or State ID at no cost. In some cases, they will help with a replacement driver’s license when it is needed for a job.
