St. Vincent de Paul CARES

This is an organization of lay Catholic men and women. Their mission is to grow spiritually by helping those in need. Their mission is to ease suffering. This chapter serves the downtown St. Petersburg area. Clients can get services such as food, clothing, shelter and more. Please see the website for more information.

School Readiness Scholarships

Children from working families with low to moderate incomes, or families with certain risk factors, may get scholarships to attend an early learning program. To qualify, the parents' income must be less than 150% of the federal poverty level. Children from birth to 13 years old can get a scholarship. In some cases, older children with special needs may also be able to get help. Families in this program can receive:

Northside Baptist Church

This church offers services to those in need. They have a food pantry that provides food to more than 2,400 per year. They can help with rent and utilities on a limited basis. They minister to people's needs by listening, praying and caring for the whole person. Please see the website for more information.
