Ayers Health & Rehabilitation Center - Healthcare Services

This Center provides therapy services to residents in four counties. They can get long or short-term rehab care. They can get inpatient or outpatient services. They can also get skilled nursing care. Baker County Health Department - Smoking Cessation - Quit Smoking Now!

This program provides you with the support, guidance and resources to help you quit. This six session program could be all it takes for you to become tobacco free!

The program was designed by an ex-smoker. It is led by a trained facilitator who will guide you through the many issues related to quitting smoking, including:

  • Coping with anger, sleep problems, and cravings
  • Managing stress
  • How physical activity and health food choices can make quitting tobacco easier
  • How to prevent relapse (using tobacco again)
  • Identifying and controlling your tobacco “triggers”
  • What to do when you have friends and family who use tobacco around you

Baker County Health Department - Health Services - Disease Control

A communicable disease may be spread directly or indirectly from person to person. This agency is always contacted when conditions point to such diseases. Each case is investigated.

This agency offers confidential HIV testing and counseling for at risk persons.

The Health Department can examine, diagnose, and treat people for STDs. Early diagnosis and treatment are the best ways to decrease complications and in most cases obtain a complete cure. STD exams are made by appointment during the week.
