This group has a Reunification Housing program. The group works with Brevard Family Partnership. This program provides housing. It is for parents that the only thing left they need to reunite with their children is housing. Their children are being cared for by others through a court order. They must go through their case manager at Brevard Family Partnership. The parents must also meet basic qualifications for housing. Please call or visit the website for more information.
Ronald McDonald House provides a “home away from home” for families of hospitalized children. They can stay close to the hospital at little or no cost. Parents can focus on their child's health and keep in close touch with the child's medical team. The family can enjoy home-cooked meals and private bedrooms. There is a playroom for children. There may be a small per diem fee for a family's stay, but no one is ever turned away because of inability to pay. Please see the website for more information.
This group offers temporary housing and basic amenities. The support is for families with children receiving medical treatment. The house is located close to the UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital. There is little to no cost for the families. Please call or visit the website for more information.
This group has the Safe Overnight Stay Shelter program. It is called S.O.S. for short. It is a very short-term shelter program. It is for families who are unexpectedly or suddenly experiencing homelessness. The program focuses more on those families who are dealing with homelessness for first-time. There are two locations. This group can help with RENT (if you have an eviction notice) and UTILITIES (if you have a final or disconnect notice) for people who qualify, but only if there is enough money. They can only help a limited number of people. HELP IS NOT GUARANTEED AND MUST BE APPROVED.
