This group runs the Tallahassee Veterans Village. It offers a GPD program. The program provides transitional housing and supportive services. The help is for homeless veterans. The help will stabilize and prepare them for an independent life. Rent is based on income. There are requirements that must be met to participate. Homeless families who come to Family Promise stay at a local congregation for one week. While there, they get three meals a day, case management and other services. They can use laundry facilities, a computer and get phone access at the Family Center. They will also meet with a social worker who will develop a plan of action to get the family on the path to self sufficiency. Please see the website for more information.
The Arc of Putnam County believes that all individuals, regardless of their disability, have the right to work and play. As well as fully participate in the life of their community.
