• Head Start daycare for ages up to 5 years old and after-school and summer programming for ages 5 to 17 years old for families

This program boosts job opportunities for clients at the Rescue Mission. They will learn to identify their skills, talents and abilities. Clients chart a new career path and build self esteem. The program consists of certification training and job placement. Students receive computer training, tutoring and many other services. They attend classes at the Acosta Adult Learning Center. Through a nationwide network of campuses, Job Corps offers career development services to at-risk youth. It is for those between ages 16 to 24. The program helps to prepare them for successful careers. Services are free. Please see the website for more information.

Job Corps Offers:

This is a national, primarily residential training program. It is for young people ages 16 through 24. Job Corps' mission is to attract eligible young adults and teach them the skills they need to become employable. Students get academic training to suit their needs. They can get their GED. They can learn English. They can take Driver’s Education. They can get vocational training in several fields.
