Transition Youth Services - Division of Vocational Rehabilitation

Veteran's Services - Employment

This program helps Veterans with service connected disabilities. It helps them to prepare for and find suitable jobs. For Veterans who cannot immediately go to work due to their disability, they may get services to help them to live as independently as possible. This program is also known as the Chapter 31 Program. Veterans will meet with a counselor to consider a plan that meets their specific needs. They may receive training at a college, vocational or technical school. They will get help with job seeking skills. They can also receive counseling and medical referrals as needed.

VetSuccess Program Services Include:

  • Assistance finding and keeping a job
  • Comprehensive rehabilitation evaluation to determine abilities, skills, and interests
  • Employment services such as job-training, job-seeking skills and resume development
  • Independent living services for Veterans unable to work due to the severity of their disabilities

Veteran's Services - Employment

Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment VetSuccess:

This program helps Veterans with service connected disabilities. It helps them to prepare for and find jobs. Sometimes disabled Vets cannot immediately go to work. VR&E offers these Veterans help to live as independently as possible. Please call the office for more information.

  • Post-secondary training at a college, vocational, technical or business school

Vocational Rehabilitation - Centers for Independent Living Program

This agency offers an independent living program. The goal is to give those with disabilities the chance to be more independent. They will learn to be empowered and productive. They will learn independent living skills. They will be more able to fully integrate into their local communities. Please call for more information.

Vocational Rehabilitation Program - Independence for the Blind of West Florida

This program offers training and education in job-related activities. There are classes in basic computer keyboarding. Clients learn about resume writing, job search methods and vocational training.
