The Waterfront Rescue Mission runs a center to help people recover from drug and alcohol addiction. It offers an intensive and immersive program for 90 days. The program helps men work towards getting better and staying sober. Although there is a cost, they provide different options to make sure you or your loved one can get the help needed. Workforce Development - City Rescue Mission

This program boosts job opportunities for clients at the Rescue Mission. They will learn to identify their skills, talents and abilities. Clients chart a new career path and build self esteem. The program consists of certification training and job placement. Students receive computer training, tutoring and many other services. They attend classes at the Acosta Adult Learning Center. Youth Employment-Job Corps

This is a national, primarily residential training program. It is for young people ages 16 through 24. Job Corps' mission is to attract eligible young adults and teach them the skills they need to become employable. Students get academic training to suit their needs. They can get their GED. They can learn English. They can take Driver’s Education. They can get vocational training in several fields.
