Community Home Project

The Marion County Hospital District has partnered with Marion County Public Schools to offer free services at Howard Academy located at 306 NW 7 Ave. Building 3, Ocala, FL 34475. The Community Home Project assists families with employment, educational tutoring and continuing education, healthcare navigation and dental clinics, fitness and nutrition classes (diabetes education, grocery orders) and much more.
On-site Career Coach to help with:
• Job applications
• Employability skills classes• Resume writing• Interviewing
• Job fairs

Dawn Center - Outreach Support

Dawn Center has an outreach program to help victims of abuse. There are no charges for any services provided. Call for more information.

    • Daytona State College - Fresh Start

    The Fresh Start Program is a 4 week class. It will help women and men 18 yeas and older with support and tools for academic and personal goals.

    Fresh Start Program will help with:

    • Build confidence and self-esteem
    • Develop financial awareness and personal planning
    • Develop personal awareness
    • Explore career and educational options
    • Learn healthy coping skills
    • Learn job search tools
    • Master the art of finding, obtaining, and keeping a job
    • Offered on an as-needed basis is a 30 hour evening class called WAND (Women Achieving New Directions) to help individuals find career focus.

    Domestic Violence & Human Trafficking (Lucha) Program-Americans for Immigrant Justice

    Lucha is for those dealing with domestic violence and human trafficking. There is free legal help for immigrants. You can get healthcare and mental health counseling. They can help with housing, school, and jobs. They help with banking, taxes, and earning a driver's license. See the website to learn more.

    The Orange County Library can help you in your search to find a job. The library can connect job seekers with resources at the library.
