The Community Hope Center is a program-based project that impacts the low-income, poverty level families and individuals living in and around Osceola County, Florida. The primary emphasis is to assist those living homeless or in motels and hotels along Osceola County’s 192 Corridor.

Connections works with those who are seeking employment. They can help you with job search skills. They offer computer training and one-on-one job counseling. They can help with resume review and preparation, job leads, and interview clothing. All services are free and there is no charge to area employers who wish to post openings with them.

This group offers a culinary training program. It is for qualified at-risk and economically disadvantaged adults. The program provides culinary and life skills training. This agency helps people with disabilities to get and keep a job. If you are accepted for the program, a counselor will help you plan your “road map to success”. Each plan is catered to the client’s needs. The website has useful videos. There is one with a sign language interpreter for the hearing impaired. Captions are available in English, Spanish and Creole.

The Fresh Start Program is a 4 week class. It will help women and men 18 yeas and older with support and tools for academic and personal goals.

Fresh Start Program will help with:

• Learn healthy coping skills
• Learn job search tools
• Master the art of finding, obtaining, and keeping a job
• Offered on an as-needed basis is a 30 hour evening class called WAND (Women Achieving New Directions) to help individuals find career focus.

Deaf/Hard of Hearing Services makes sure that eligible persons with all types of hearing loss receive VR services. Counselors are available who use American Sign Language.
