Find a Ride - Safe Mobility For Life

The FDOT runs the Safe Mobility for Life Program. One service they offer is called Find a Ride Florida. It offers seniors access to local medical and non-medical transportation options. This is to help make sure they can remain independent within their communities. Find a ride does not offer any services. The program just helps people find transportation providers in their area. Flagler County - Public Transportation

Flagler County offers Public Transportation for elderly, disabled, and low-income residents. You must submit an application to be accepted. Rides are available Monday - Friday from 6am to 6pm and on Saturdays from 8am to 6pm. Rides are not available on federal holidays. They offer rides to Volusia county on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There are also rides to St. Johns county, Jacksonville, and Gainesville on Fridays. Please call or visit the website to learn more.

Flagler County Sheriff's Office - Victim's Services

The Flagler County Sheriff Victim Advocate program helps victims of sexual assault, physical or sexual abuse, or domestic violence.

They provide:

  • 911 cell phones
  • Assistance filing a protective injunction
  • Crisis Counseling
  • Referral services

Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4 PM, on-call 24/7.

Florida Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged-Florida Department of Transportation

The (FDOT) has a group called the Florida Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged. They help those who need to get good and affordable transportation. This service is available in all 67 counties. To use it, you need to meet certain requirements. For more information visit their website.

GoLine Transportation - Senior Resource Association

Senior Resource Association helps with transportation by offering GoLine. GoLine is the Indian River County Public transit system. The bus service runs on 14 fixed routes throughout the County and in Barefoot Bay. Riders take GoLine buses to dozens of locations throughout the area. GoLine buses operate weekdays from 6 am through 7 pm. Saturday service is offered on several routes from 8 am to 5pm. Riders under the age of 12 must have an adult with them. There is no charge to ride the bus. Instead, GoLine passengers are encouraged to make a donation to help support the bus system.

Handy Bus

This service provides door-to-door bus service. It is for people who, due to disability, cannot use the regular buses.

HARTPlus ParaTransit Bus

This service lets people with disabilities use the HART fixed route bus system when they otherwise couldn't. The service consists of van transportation, which is based on the individual’s needs. It either picks people up and drops them off at their destination or takes them to an accessible bus stop.

The HART bus system is fully accessible by wheelchair or motorized scooter. It should be used whenever feasible. All buses have PA systems to announce stops and lighted stop-requested signs.

HEP - Transportation Services

HEP has several options to help residents with their transportation needs. There is an on-campus bus shelter for residents who take the bus. A bus takes HEP youth to after school programs. There are fixed route transit services for Veterans to Bay Pines Hospital. The Freewheel Bike Program provides bicycles to the homeless. Please call or see the website for more information.
