The FDOT runs the Safe Mobility for Life Program. One service they offer is called Find a Ride Florida. It offers seniors access to local medical and non-medical transportation options. Health Services - Medicaid Waiver/Home and Community Based Services

This program is for aged and disabled people who, without services, would be at risk of being in a nursing home. Eligibility for this program includes asset and income limits. Applicants must be eligible for institutional Medicaid. They must be 60 years old or disabled.

Medicare is a health insurance program. It is for people 65 or older. Certain people under the age of 65 may be eligible. They must meet certain eligibility requirements. Transportation for the Elderly and Disadvantaged

This program provides transportation to the elderly and disabled. It allows clients access to health and medical care, shopping and social activities. It provides door to door service for those who do not have or cannot afford their own transportation. This includes wheelchair transport. Service is provided daily to various sites. In-county shopping trips are provided every Thursday. Private pay rates depend on the destination and trip miles.

There are no services on major holidays, except for dialysis patients.

Rates:
Medicaid Provider trips -$2.00 round trip
Transportation Disadvantage (TD) - $3.00 round trip
Private Pay – for those who do not qualify for Medicaid or TD; rates vary
