The Food Stamp Program(EBT) helps people with low income to buy healthy food. The application can be done online. Please see the website for your local service center. The application is also used for Temporary Cash Assistance, Medicaid, and all other Dept of Children and Families services.
You can view the application in English, Haitian-Creole, or Spanish.

This program provides carpentry, plumbing, electrical and other minor home repairs. They make these repairs to help the health and safety of the clients. Priority is given to low income elderly. Please call for more information.
All Saints Catholic Mission provides a soup kitchen to those in need, every day of the year, at 4 PM. They also offer breakfast at 9 AM. Clothes, medicine, and housing for family may also be availble. Please call for more information.
Assurance Wireless offers free lifeline wireless phone services. You may qualify if you receive Medicaid or Food Stamps. You can also qualify based on your household income. Please call or go to the website for more information.
Broward Healthy Start Coalition provides cribs for infants. This is for families who are unable to afford them. Please call for more information.

Children’s Aid Club offers immediate assistance in short-term crisis situations. They help families get back on track and become self-sufficient. Families are screened to qualify their needs. They must verify their expenses and income. Children’s Aid Club will work with creditors (utility companies, landlords, etc.) to pay them directly. They often give food certificates as well, but do not give cash. Call for more information.
The Miramar Assisting Seniors in their Homes(MASH) program is a short term emergency assistance program designed to alleviate a crisis. This program is for income eligible persons over the age of 60 who reside in the City of Miramar. Proof of income and crisis situation is required. Limited funds are available for this program.
