The lifeline assistance program provides free cell phone service to low-income customers. Those who qualify also receive a free phone. There is a limit of one account per household. Other terms may apply. Visit the website to learn more.
This program provides carpentry, plumbing, electrical and other minor home repairs. They make these repairs to help the health and safety of the clients. Must be 60 or older in owner-occupied homes. For more information go to website.

The Miramar Assisting Seniors in their Homes (MASH) is an emergency assistance program by the city of Miramar. Residents over 60 can apply to receive emergency help to pay house bills. Eligibility required. For more information call 954.889.2700 or go to website.
Pace Center runs a year-round day program for girls. Teachers help middle and high school students with education. Counselors help with support, life skills training, and career prep. They offer help at home, as well as at schools and within the local community. These services are tailored for each girl and the program is free.
