Service Animals - Canine Companions

People who are disabled due to injury or disease may qualify for an assistance dog. These highly trained dogs are able to assist with many tasks. There are 4 types of assistance dogs:

  • Facility - assists in an education or health care setting
  • Hearing – assists the hearing impaired
  • Service – assists with daily tasks
  • Skilled Companion – assists physically, mentally or developmentally disabled
