Ben Singleton Center - Volunteers of America

The Ben Singleton Center offers the GPD program. It provides transitional housing. It also provides supportive services. The help is for homeless veterans. The program will help stabilize and prepare a participant for a life of independence. A veteran can participate in the program for up to two years. Any program fees are based on income. Divine Mercy House - St. Joseph's Catholic Church

This is a shelter for pregnant women over the age of 18 with no other children in their care. The house can accommodate one woman with a child under five in certain cases.

Education and job training are provided so the women can get a GED or college diploma. They will develop specific job seeking skills so they will be more self sufficient. Each woman stays an average of six to eight months after her baby is born.

Office Hours are Monday through Friday from 9am-4pm. The shelter is staffed 24 hours a day.

Domestic Violence & Human Trafficking (Lucha) Program-Americans for Immigrant Justice

Lucha is for those dealing with domestic violence and human trafficking. There is free legal help for immigrants. You can get healthcare and mental health counseling. They can help with housing, school, and jobs. They help with banking, taxes, and earning a driver's license. See the website to learn more.

Eating Disorder Groups- National Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness

The Alliance provides free, weekly eating disorder groups. These groups are led by a therapist. The sessions take place both virtually and in person. Help is available for all eating disorders. Please call or visit the website for more information.
