The Gonzalez Baptist Church operates a Food For Help Ministry. It is provided by Feeding the Gulf Coast. There is free food that is distributed every second Wednesday. The distribution is from 1 to 2 pm. Please call or visit the website for more information.
Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen runs an emergency family shelter. They provide temporary shelter for families. The group provides one week of emergency shelter. There is room for up to ten families. Please call or visit the website for more info.

Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen serves meals to the homeless each month. A hot breakfast, lunch and dinner is served. In addition to these meals, they also serve lunch and dinner to their emergency shelter families seven days a week.
Breakfast: Monday through Friday, 7 AM
Lunch: Saturday, 11:30 AM
Dinner: Monday and Wednesday, 5 PM
This group offers the Critical Financial Assistance Program. The program helps military families with grants and not loans. Help is also given in the form of grocery cards.
