The YMCA provides afterschool programs for children in grades K-5. They are located at several county schools. They provide a safe place for your child. They provide a broad range of activities which include help with homework, arts and crafts, snacks, sports and more. There is a fee, but there is financial aid to families in need.

This agency protects children and teens. They provide emergency shelter. They have a foster care program. They can help with adoption. Teens who are aging out of the foster system get skills and training to be able to live by themselves. Individual and family counseling are available. Please see the website for all services.

This agency provides free screenings for parents who feel their child has behavioral or developmental delay. Their target age is from birth to 5 years. The goal is to diagnose children early so they may get the services they need before starting school.
