EyeCare America’s Senior Program helps seniors aged 65 and older protect their vision. It connects them with local, volunteer eye doctors. People who are disabled due to injury or disease may qualify for an assistance dog. These highly trained dogs are able to assist with many tasks. There are 4 types of assistance dogs:
This agency offers forensic exams at no cost. It is for victims of sexual battery in Hillsborough County. The exam includes both medical and support services with follow-up. Exams are performed in a safe, confidential location.
The agency also offers relocation help if the victim was assaulted at home and needs to move. In order to qualify, the victim must report the assault within 72 hours. They must cooperate in prosecuting known offenders.
