Emergency Domestic Violence Shelter - The Spring of Tampa Bay
The Spring helps victims of domestic violence rebuild their lives. The Spring’s services include safe shelter, case management and counseling. They have a 24-hour hotline. Clients can get referrals, legal help, emergency financial assistance, and safety planning.

Family Homeless Prevention - Dawning Family Services

Hillsborough County Home Ownership Program
This program gives eligible homebuyers up to $65,000 for down payment assistance and closing costs. It is for homes in unincorporated areas of the county. This includes Temple Terrace and Plant City. You do not have to be a first time home buyer for this program.
Hillsborough Neighborhood Stabilization Program - Volunteers of America
This program offers apartments. They are for individuals and families. The residents have been diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness. There are requirements that must be met to participate in the program. Please call or visit the website for more information.

Home Ownership Program - Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County, Inc.
This agency builds homes for low to moderate income individuals. They must meet certain criteria. Prospective homeowners need to help build the home, be able to assist with closing costs, and make monthly mortgage payments. These homes are sold to homeowners at no profit with a no-interest mortgage.
To be eligible for this program, you must have lived or worked in Hillsborough County for the last 12 months.
