Medicare - Social Security Administration
Medicare is a health insurance program. It is for people 65 or older. Certain people under the age of 65 may be eligible. They must meet certain eligibility requirements. Senior Services - You Thrive Florida
This group helps seniors live in their own homes. This lets them keep living an independent lifestyle. It also helps them avoid having to live in an assisted living facility. A client must be 60 years of age or older for this program.
Services Available:
Seniors Program - EyeCare America
EyeCare America’s Senior Program helps seniors aged 65 and older protect their vision. It connects them with local, volunteer eye doctors. They can get a free eye exam and follow-up care for up to one year. Follow-up care is for any condition found during the initial eye exam. Visit the website to learn more.
Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders (SHINE) - Elder Options
This program is called SHINE for short. It is a free service. The program has counselors that can help clients navigate Medicare. This will let clients make informed decisions about coverage.
