Neighborhood Care Center

This agency provides food, furniture, clothing and household items. They may provide financial assistance for electric and water if they are being shut off. They can help with certain prescriptions.

Pasco County Senior Services - Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels provides home delivered meals to persons who are unable to prepare nourishing meals for themselves. It is for seniors over 60. People who attend dining sites have the opportunity to socialize with others their age. There are 8 congregate dining sites (see below).

There is usually a waiting list for Meals on Wheels. Please call 727.834.3287 to be put on the list. Someone will first make a home visit and then assign you to a route.

If you have a pet and cannot afford pet food, you may request some to be delivered with your meals. Please call 727.834.3340 to request pet food.

Salvation Army - Center of Hope

This agency provides temporary aid to individuals and families. They supply basic needs such as food, and rent once a year when funds are available. They can help with utilities if it is under Progress Energy. They will assist with the last $30, $50, $75 of the bill, depending on funding.
Clients can get limited prescription help. They may be referred to another agency.

You must have proof of Pasco County residency.

Daily nutritious meals are served Monday to Friday 4pm-5pm for anyone in need at no cost.

Shady Hills Family Center Services

The Shady Hills Family Center is the main outreach ministry of the church. The Family Center works with this church, other organizations, area businesses and government agencies to care for the people in need.

The Church keeps a small supply of non-perishable food on hand to help others who have an emergency need for food. For help, information or to donate food, please contact the church office.

Please note that all of the food in the pantry is donated by members of the church. The church cannot contral what is donated. There is no choice of food items.
