Children's Home Society of Florida - Gulf Coast

This agency strives to protect children and teens. They provide emergency shelter. They have a foster care program. They can help with adoption. Department of Corrections - Victim Services (VINE)

This program helps victims of crimes committed by Florida inmates. Through the VINE program, victims can sign up for an automatic notification service. Anyone may call the toll-free number to get an inmate's current location and release date. You may also register to learn when an inmate is released, transferred, escapes or dies. The VINE service is confidential. It is available 24 hours a day. Please see the website for more information.

Early Intervention

This agency provides therapy services to children from birth through age 17. Stress is on children ages birth to 5. Therapies include speech/language, occupational, physical and developmental/early intervention. Therapy takes place either in the child's natural setting or at the Children's Therapy Center.

Early intervention helps babies and toddlers work toward growth goals. They are at a time in their lives when they are most ready to learn. They can most benefit from therapy during this time. Therapists work with the children to achieve the highest level of functioning.
