Group Homes/Transitional Living - Arnette House, Inc.

This group provides services to youth. The children are between the ages 13-17. They are in need of long-term foster care placement. The group runs two homes. The homes focus on the physical and emotional well-being of the individual. The youth are given a healthy and supportive environment. They are also taught methods for sustaining basic life skills. Haven of Lake & Sumter Counties, Inc. serves victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. They provide a range Domestic Violence Services. Services are available to all clients free of charge.

  • 24/7 response to all hospitals and police departments to serve victims with trauma situations: Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault; Rape exams
  • Assistance with transition to the community: housing, furniture, food, clothing, etc.
  • Bio-psychosexual and Individual Assessments for adults and children
  • Children’s groups are scheduled at the same time as the adult group so there are no child care issues
  • Counseling and/or education program in local prison for inmates being released back into the community within 30 days
  • Counseling groups of Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence in county jail for men and women

Healthy Families Lake/Marion/Seminole/Sumter

The Healthy Families Florida program is overseen by the Ounce of Prevention Fund of Florida. It is a family support and coaching program. It is open to expectant parents and to parents of newborns. That are going through stressful life situations. Help is given through education and community support. So that they can provide a safe and stable environment for their children.
