Access Florida - Food Stamps(EBT), Temporary Cash Assistance, and Medicaid

The Food Stamp Program(EBT) helps people with low income to buy healthy food. The application can be done online. Please see the website for your local service center. The application is also used for Temporary Cash Assistance, Medicaid, and all other Department of Children and Families services.

Big Bend Cares - HIV Testing

This agency provides FREE HIV testing. They offer two types of tests--the Orasure test (results in two weeks) and the Clearview finger stick test (results in 30 minutes). Orasure testing is provided on a walk-in basis Monday through Friday. The Clearview test is more accurate but needs to be scheduled in advance. Appointments are on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM (Eastern Time).

HIV tests can also be offered to groups. Big Bend Cares hosts testing events at colleges, health fairs and at other community gatherings.
