THE Bus (The Hernando Express Bus) - Transportation
Bus transit system for Hernando County. Riders must have correct change, or present pass or tokens. Standard fares will be $1.25. Disabled, senior or student fares are $.60. Children under age 6 ride free if accompanied by a paying rider.
Tokens and monthly passes available at:
- Brooksville City Hall
- County Libraries
- County Tax offices
- Health and Human Services
Buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts and bicycle racks. No animals allowed, other than trained service animals.
Pick up schedules on any of the buses at Hernando County Transit Management or at any of over 90 locations in the county.

This is a voluntary home visiting program for expectant parents and families of newborns. They help with parenting skills and bonding. They offer home visits on a planned schedule by an experienced Family Support Specialist, up to age 5.
