The Source helps men, women, and children who have nowhere else to go. They provide a range of services to the homeless within the community. All services are free of charge.

Services include:

• Employment opportunities
• Job referrals for temporary, part-time and full-time work
• Personal advocacy for individual rights
• Post Office Box and mail services

United Against Poverty offers Crisis Care & Housing Assistance. They partner with local agencies that can help those in need with daily needs such as food, housing, and women who are pregnant. Please call or visit website to learn more.

Senior Resource Association helps with transportation by offering GoLine. GoLine is the Indian River County Public transit system. The bus service runs on 14 fixed routes throughout the County and in Barefoot Bay. Riders take GoLine buses to dozens of locations throughout the area. GoLine buses operate weekdays from 6 am through 7 pm. Saturday service is offered on several routes from 8 am to 5pm. Riders under the age of 12 must have an adult with them. There is no charge to ride the bus. Instead, GoLine passengers are encouraged to make a donation to help support the bus system.

Senior Resource Association provides Community Coach. It is a door-to-door service between the hours of 7:30 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Rides are available to all eligible Indian River County customers. Currently, Community Coach is a “demand response” service. This means you must call in advance to schedule your trips with them. Senior Resource Association provides the Meals on Wheels program. Volunteers deliver meals to clients’ homes Monday through Friday. They do this between 10:30 am and 2:30 pm. They also give a daily safety check and friendly interaction. Hot, nutritious meals are delivered to seniors’ doors – five days a week. They also offer frozen meals for the weekends. If you are homebound and have been discharged from a healthcare facility within the last 30; or, whose caregiver is going into a healthcare facility for a brief period of time, they offer Emergency Meals on Wheels.

St. Helen Catholic Church offers the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. This outreach helps people in need in the community. They offer help with utility bills, and prescription medication. They do this from their thrift store. Please call or visit the website for more information.
