The University of Florida has an Outreach Mobile Clinic. It is a bus that goes to and offers health care services to those in need. They are staffed by teams of professionals and students. NewboRN Home Visiting is a free program for women in Alachua County who give birth there. Within a week a registered nurse or midwife will visit. They will check on the health of the baby and mother, as well as help with breastfeeding and nutrition, give tips of how to safely care for the baby, and help connect the family to other local resources. This group offers the Critical Financial Assistance Program. The program helps military families with grants and not loans. Help is also given in the form of grocery cards. This group offers the Reach Program. It provides a variety of mental health related services. They are for girls between the ages of 11 and 17. The services are also for their families.
