Roseland United Methodist Church - Roseland Food Pantry

Roseland United Methodist Church helps the community through their outreach ministries. They feed the hungry through the Roseland Food Pantry. Families who come to the Food Pantry are given a box of food. If a family has small children, diapers and baby food are available. For the homeless, the pantry provides backpacks with food items and other personal hygiene items. They are open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 Am to 1 PM. Healthy Start is a program that screens pregnant women and newborn babies to identify risk factors for low birth weight and infant mortality. Healthy Start is free and available to everyone regardless of income. A team of nurses, social workers, and peer counselors assist families in finding out their needs. Classes are in English and Spanish. No appointment is needed.

The Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA) program provides limited financial aid to low income families. The amount depends on the family size and income. Families can also get Medicaid benefits. They are referred for requested social services. Individuals must be U.S. Citizens or qualified non-citizens. They must live in the State of Florida.

There are also cash benefits for children who have been placed by the courts into a relative’s home.
