This is a shelter for pregnant women over the age of 18 with no other children in their care. The house can accommodate one woman with a child under five in certain cases.
Education and job training are provided so the women can get a GED or college diploma. They will develop specific job seeking skills so they will be more self sufficient. Each woman stays an average of six to eight months after her baby is born.
Office Hours are Monday through Friday from 9am-4pm. The shelter is staffed 24 hours a day.
Children’s Home Society of Florida – Emerald Coast offers the Early Steps program. This program helps families with children who have developmental delays. The services are available for children ages 0 to 3. They will guide you through the issues with your child. In-home visits are an option to help the child feel more safe and secure. Available Services Include:
Roseland United Methodist Church helps the community through their outreach ministries. They feed the hungry through the Roseland Food Pantry. Families who come to the Food Pantry are given a box of food. If a family has small children, diapers and baby food are available. For the homeless, the pantry provides backpacks with food items and other personal hygiene items. They are open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 Am to 1 PM.
