Daily Needs ServicesThis program offers supportive services. The help is for homeless individuals and families. Those being helped have been diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness. The program will help stabilize and prepare them for a life of independence. Program fees are based on income. There are requirements that must be met to participate in the program. The Council has many services for seniors. This includes meal sites, health support, home delivered meals, homemaker services, and nutrition classes. There are also telephone reassurance, and transportation services. Caregivers can apply for respite care.
Senors must be 60 years of age or older.
Ozanam Outreach helps those in dire need. They serve those living in the downtown St. Petersburg area. One of the services they provide is help with food by offering food baskets. Vouchers are issued at the district office. Baskets can then be picked up at the Food Center across the street. Families can get help once every six weeks. Please call for times.
The VA provides services to veterans. They can help you file a claim or find a local resource. They can help with medical care, disability and more. They have special services for homeless Vets. Please call or see the website for more info.

The Center maintains a pantry that provides free groceries to those in need. Various combinations of breads, pastries and produce are also available to clients. Please call for more information and times.
This library has activities for all ages. There are story times for kids. You can use the computers and printers. There is a copier and fax machine. There is WiFi in the library. You can check out books and movies. They also have audiobooks and ebooks.

This group offers a program for blind teens and young adults. It is a transition program. The help available is for individuals between the ages of 14 and 24. The program is focused on job readiness. As well as independent living skills. The goal of the program is to prepare students for life after high school. Please call or visit the website for more information.
Designed to provide pregnant or parenting teens, and their children, with educational and support services. This is a voluntary program. We help with such needs as:
Trained volunteers make weekday phone calls to homebound seniors. They provide conversation and verify the senior's wellbeing. Calls are made from 8:00am to 10:00am during the week. If the phone is unanswered, an emergency procedure is begun to assure the senior's safety.
