This group is for people with disabilities. They have group homes. They offer activities where people can work on their skills. They also have job opportunities, including their woodshop and mobile work crews. They have mental health services. This program provides weekend meals to children at risk of hunger. Participants are referred by school personnel. Backpacks are filled with food for every child in the household.

Nurses who have substance abuse issues may find help through this agency. They can get referrals to drug and alcohol treatment programs.
Any person who suspects that a nurse is impaired may make a referral to this agency.
The Jefferson County Health Department provides a variety of services. Cost of services will depend on Financial Eligibility and/or Sliding Fee Scale. Medicaid and Medicare are welcome. Some services have set fees.
