Westside Samaritans Clinic provides basic health care for those who cannot afford health care. We serve the homeless, migrant workers, the disadvantaged, students, the uninsured, and those in need.

We currently have our clinic open one evening per week. We hope to expand soon to two evenings per week and additional locations.

Wewahitchka Medical Center is part of North Florida Medical Centers, Inc. They give medical care for the entire family. Most insurance is accepted, including Blue Cross / Blue Shield, Medicare and Medicaid and more. They offer a sliding fee discount program. They also have a discount prescription program for patients. This program provides support to pregnant women and new mothers. It offers counseling and addresses the issues that are important to each client. They will help you to meet goals, get parenting advice or resolve relationship issues. Women who are part of the program receive Life Points, which can be redeemed for new baby clothing, diapers and baby supplies.

You must be pregnant or have a baby under one year old to be a part of the program.

Women should receive annual examinations for early detection. The health department offers regular tests such as mammograms and Pap tests. Women can also receive family planning services. Pregnant women can get prenatal care and counseling. The goal is to ensure delivery of a healthy baby. Insurance plans including Medicare and Medicaid are accepted. If you do not have insurance, care is provided on a sliding fee scale. Please call your health center and speak with a Human Service Counselor.
