Alpha Pregnancy Center - Pregnancy Assistance

Alpha Pregnancy Center helps women who are pregnant, or women who aren't sure if they are pregnant. They have lab quality pregnancy testing. They will talk to you about your options, and hear any concerns you may have. They can answers questions about pregnancy, adoption, abortion, parenting, and sexually transmitted diseases.

Angel Flight Southeast, Inc. - Free Air Transportation

Angel Flight Southeast looks to offer free air transportation. They assist people with medical or other needs. You must be able to sit up in an airplane seat for the duration of the flight. Flights must be scheduled at least 10 days in advance. You must have a medical release to be able to fly. Most trips are limited between 100 to 1,000 miles. Baker County Health Department - Smoking Cessation - Quit Smoking Now!

This program provides you with the support, guidance and resources to help you quit. This six session program could be all it takes for you to become tobacco free!

The program was designed by an ex-smoker. It is led by a trained facilitator who will guide you through the many issues related to quitting smoking, including:

  • Coping with anger, sleep problems, and cravings
  • Managing stress
  • How physical activity and health food choices can make quitting tobacco easier
  • How to prevent relapse (using tobacco again)
  • Identifying and controlling your tobacco “triggers”
  • What to do when you have friends and family who use tobacco around you

Ben Singleton Center - Volunteers of America

The Ben Singleton Center offers the GPD program. It provides transitional housing. It also provides supportive services. The help is for homeless veterans. The program will help stabilize and prepare a participant for a life of independence. A veteran can participate in the program for up to two years. Any program fees are based on income.
