Angel Flight Southeast looks to offer free air transportation. They assist people with medical or other needs. You must be able to sit up in an airplane seat for the duration of the flight. Flights must be scheduled at least 10 days in advance. You must have a medical release to be able to fly. Most trips are limited between 100 to 1,000 miles. The Ben Singleton Center offers the GPD program. It provides transitional housing. It also provides supportive services. The help is for homeless veterans. The program will help stabilize and prepare a participant for a life of independence. A veteran can participate in the program for up to two years. Any program fees are based on income. This group offers the Better Breathers Club. These clubs are support groups for people with COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, and lung cancer. They are also for caregivers. The groups help people connect to education, support, and each other. There are regular meetings. They take place the 2nd Friday of every month from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
