The Food Stamp Program(EBT) helps people with low income to buy healthy food. The application can be done online. Please see the website for your local service center. The application is also used for Temporary Cash Assistance, Medicaid, and all other Department of Children and Families services.

Florida Keys Outreach Coalition for the Homeless provides Sun Houses Transitional Shelter for single men, single women, and families. It is a safe and substance-free place to learn and practice life skills for education, work, stable employment, raising children, and stable housing. Call for more information.

Keys Area Interdenominational Resources - Food

KAIR is a USDA certified food pantry. They offer “Meals to Go” – pre-made meals for the homeless. They offer bags of groceries to those who have cooking facilities. They also offer food baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmastime. The pantry is open five days a week during office hours or by appointment. Call for more information.
