Meals on Wheels provides home delivered meals to persons who are unable to prepare nourishing meals for themselves. It is for seniors over 60. There are 8 congregate dining sites (see below).

There is usually a waiting list for Meals on Wheels. Please call 727.834.3287 to be put on the list. Someone will first make a home visit and then assign you to a route.

If you have a pet and cannot afford pet food, you may request some to be delivered with your meals. Please call 727.834.3340 to request pet food.

This church has a food pantry for those in need. They also provide clothing, household articles and furniture.

This group offers the Critical Financial Assistance Program. The program helps military families with grants and not loans. Help is also given in the form of grocery cards. The payments are made directly to service providers. There are eligibility criteria that must be met. Please call or visit the website for more information.

Usual Types of Assistance Are:

This group helps seniors live in their own homes. This lets them keep living an independent lifestyle. It also helps them avoid having to live in an assisted living facility. A client must be 60 years of age or older for this program. Please call or go to the website to learn more.

WIC provides healthy foods, nutrition education and counseling. New mothers can get breast-feeding information and health care referrals.

This agency runs several youth crisis shelters. They provide residential group care. The help is for youth between the ages of 10 and 17. These youth are runaways, homeless, or have been kicked or locked out by their parents or guardians. They may need short-term respite or crisis placement.
