Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA - Youth Programs - Pasco

This YMCA offers a variety of programs for youth at two Pasco locations. They have an after-school program called Success After School. Transportation is provided. They offer group swim lessons. They have dance, gymnastics and martial arts. They have day camp during the summer. There are programs for toddlers and special needs children.

The Able Trust Florida High School HighTech

The Able Trust Florida High School High Tech (HSHT) program provides opportunities for students with disabilities and other barriers to explore potential future careers. The program is designed to help students determine their interests and aptitudes, offer job-shadowing and internships, and provide leadership opportunities. HSHT has been shown to reduce high school dropout rates and increase the overall self-esteem of participating students.

The Able Trust Florida HS/HT is an initiative of the US Department of Labor and the Able Trust. The program is currently offered at high schools in Charlotte, Glades, Hendry, and Lee Counties.

The Angelus - Day Program

Residents and other adults attend the Day Program. They take classes in computer skills, home economics, small animal care and gardening. They learn arts and crafts, physical education, and academics. Also, a woodworking shop has been built and is a source of employment to our students.

Hours of operation: 9:00am-3:00pm Monday - Friday

YFA - Child Welfare Case Management - Pasco

This agency provides case management and parent aid services to families who are at risk of entering the child welfare system due to abuse or neglect. The goal is to keep the families together. When this is not possible, a child may be placed with another relative or in a foster home.

Case managers work with families to access and coordinate any needed services. Children may be referred to a specialist, depending on their need.
