Tampa Lighthouse for the Blind

This agency has training programs for people who are blind or visually impaired. It is designed to help each client be as independent as possible. There are programs for finding or keeping a job. There is a program for teens. The Early Intervention Program is for babies and young children. The Low Vision Clinic helps those who have some remaining vision.

All services are free except for the Low Vision Clinic.

Sunshine Line - Transportation

This program provides transportation and bus passes for seniors, low-income, or disabled people. Rides are for appointments, grocery trips, health and wellness, personal business and more.

Once enrolled, rides can be requested by calling Sunshine Line Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5PM. Trips can be made up to seven days in advance, but must be made no less than two days in advance.

Hillsborough County Health and Social Services

This agency provides help with shelter, food, clothing and health
care. They can also help with boarding home services and transportation
for those in need. Services also include case management, the
summer food program, aid to veterans and improvement of trauma care.
